Watchmen

The First Dar es Salaam Marketers Night Out 2009 series is scheduled for Friday 29th May at Kilimanjaro Hotel Kempinski.

On Good Friday 10thApril
From 11a.m-12a.m will be Grand Easter Egg Hunt,10a.m-11a.m/2p.m-3p.m Acrobatic troupe, 3p.m-4p.m Egg and Spoon competition.

Saturday 11thApril
From 11a.m-12a.m will be Grand Easter Egg Hunt, 10a.m-11a.m /2p.m-3p.m Acrobatic troupe, 3p.m-4p.m Easter Egg coloring competition.

Easter Sunday 12th April
From 11a.m-12a.m Grand Eater Egg Hunt, 10a.m-11a.m/2p.m -3p.m Acrobatic troupe and 3p.m-4p.m Easter Funny Hat competition.

Every night from 6p.m there will be Karaoke.Everyday activities will be Face painting, Pictures with Easy bunny, Jumping castle, Waterslide and Swimming.

KIDS ROCK………!
The Dar es Salaam players little theater presents Kids Rock music concert from 1st to 4th April 2009.

Sauti Za Busara

Sauti za busara, which is a yearly festival and very popular all over the African continent, took place on 12th to 17thFebruary 2009 at Ngome Kongwe, Zanzibar.

The festival this time featured artists from different parts of Africa including Nawal(Comoros), Omega Okello(Uganda), Mutinda(Kenya), Oudaden(Morocco), Mamillion(South Africa) and Natacha plus TY from UK.

The event impressed the audience with different African cultures.
Our local artists were not left behind during the event. Bi Kidude, Joh Makini, Carola Kinasha and Msondo Ngoma also participated in the event.

Tourists from different countries, local artists, ambassadors plus local fans from both Tanzania mainland and island were among the audience.
The event, which was truly enjoyable, was sponsored by Zantel as the Principal Sponsor.

Lady in Red Fashion Show.
When Lady In Red’s fashion explodes………………………..!!!!

The Lady In Red Fashion Show was a night to remember. The event, which was held at Kilimanjaro Kempinski Hotel on 6th of February 2009, was as explosive as it gets.

Asia Idarous who organized the event presented faboulous designs from leading designers that included Mustafa Hassanali, Ally Remtullah and Hadija Mwanamboka.

To add glamour to the night, Banana Zorro and B Band entertained guests with their scintillating music.

Among prominent local models that featured at the event were Victoria Martin and Jokate Mwegelo who was awarded a certificate.

The event was sponsored by Redds Premium Cold, Zantel, Shear Illusions and Darling Hair products.

MUSTAFA HASSANALI BRIDAL COLLECTION 2009


When Brides shine……..!!!

On Saturday 7th February, Mustafa Hassanali presented his bridal collection of the year 2009. The event was arranged as an exclusive wedding showcase.

To say the least, the designs were stunning and so were the models.

The sweet voice of a Tanzanian RnB queen, Lady JD made the event more colourful with her song titled ‘Siku ya furaha’ which carries a wedding theme. Lumumba theatre added to the entertainment with their exquisite traditional dancing styles.

For the fashion lovers it was a great experience, which is why Mustafa dubbed it “a once in a lifetime indulgence”.

The show was covered by many reporters including Fareed Khimani from M-net’s Studio 53, which is bound to give Mustafa’s international.

The show was sponsored by Zain Tanzania, Stella Artois, Hugo Domingo, Silver Curio and Motto media.

Anyone who went to the bridal show and is getting married soon is bound to look smashing.

Rugby Festival
The Second Annual Touch Rugby Festival which was to be held Saturday 7th March 2009 at Gymkhana Club has been postponed but the date is yet to be confirmed.

The Festival invites different teams to register eight players and ten supporters for each team.
The funds that are to be raised during the event will be dedicated for the development of Rugby in Dar es Salaam.

The costs for team registration is Tshs 1,250,000/=.









MAASAI SPIRIT AFRICAN NIGHT…..!

On 27th March there will be a barbeque and a feast of delicious authentic dishes at the Movenpick Royal Palm Hotel from 6.30p.m for only USD 30 per person.

This will be a charming African night at a beautifully manicured garden, where you will feel the sights, sounds and scents of a Maasai Village, while dancing to the rhythm of African music.

Dar es Salaam Food and Beverage Fair.

The first annual Dar es Saalam food and beverage fair was wonderful.

It was a new experience for people in Dar es Salaam to taste different food and beverage products.

The event which took place on 14th -15th March 2009 made the difference and actually was a new experience for the Dar people.

Nicole who is the organizer of the event said the idea of the fair is to bring social interaction among people.

There were different exhibitors such as Movenpick Hotel, Tanzania Breweries, Coca cola Kwanza bottlers, Palm Beach Hotel, Albasha Restaurant, Red n’ White, Coral Ridge Spur and many others.
